Gambling Japanese Style

I found an envelope full of yen in my road box and hauled it on the airplane with me hoping for just the right thing to spend it on. There, glowing in the terminal, lit as if by the heavens, I found something truly worthy of my money.

Nothing says adventure like exploring the unknown contents of a foreign vending machine. The soda machine especially is a wonderland of tastes. Nat and I once drank our way through the Coke Experience in Atlanta. There were sodas from all over the world and we tried them all. It was totally worth the price of admission even if I wound up kind of ill by the end. Overwhelmed by my choices, I selected the oddest of the offerings (as modeled by Drew).

Pocari Sweat tastes like Gatorade. That was pretty tame. The pink one, well I haven't even tried it yet, its sitting in my room awaiting a try. Why? Because the grape one was so bizarre and wonderful, I needed time to truly enjoy it. It's jello - yes jello - in a can! You shake the can and then it comes out in chunks. Like grape jelly in the squeezy bottle.I bought another one and it too is sitting in my hotel room so you will hear more about this wonder beverage.
